Two A.. or not Two A?
New holes are being added to the NEDGC! We are now up to 11, and climbing! Expect a series of new par “temporary” holes to be part of the layout. Most of the holes will take advantage of what will later become the “gold” layout, but until we get a chance to clear the back of the property for the “real” back nine, there will be new holes to enjoy.
The first of the new holes is a dogleg left 287’ par three. From the 1st basket, the follow the new signs to the “2A” tee. Both the Red and White tees will face a straight technical shot up to a landing zone about 70’ short of the basket. From the landing zone you’ll have to pick a line through some towering poplar trees to a basket set on a ridge. Go long and/or left and you have a good chance to roll down towards (in to?) the brook. A big arm with a carefully controlled hyzer will get you a look at birdie, though it will take some skills to hit a tight line.
After putting out you can follow the signs to the path that will take you back to “original” hole two for the rest of your round.
Long term plans might include the 2A fairway and basket to the “back end” of an epic par five opening hole.
