Calico Creek - Hole 11
After pretty much climbing the ridge along the creek for the past 6 holes, hole eleven becomes the first significant downhill shot of the round. It's 217' from the back tees, and 171' from the green.
The most generous line is a big right-to-left, a basic hyzer for a right-handed backhand from both tees. There is also a more direct line, especially from the green tee. There is some low scruff on this "straight line", plus some high branches that can swat a careless tee shot.
Bad kicks can knock your disc into some dense cover where you may be struggling to save par. The basket is protected by a few trees at the edge of the circle, but with a little creativity you should be able to get a look without having to bust out that rare "turbo" putt.
Be sure to take a little off you drive or you'll overshoot the basket on the downhill fairway.
